Kids & Family Policy
Effective November 4, 2026 · Provided by Alessandro Mori and the Innovative Studios team
Protecting children is a priority at iCast. This policy explains how creators must designate content made for kids, what changes for those videos, and how we protect young people on the platform.
1. What is "made for kids"?
A video is made for kids if children are its primary audience, or if it's directed at children even when it's not the primary audience. Consider:
- the subject matter (for example nursery rhymes, toys, educational content for early learners);
- whether children are the intended or actual audience;
- child actors or models, or characters, celebrities or toys popular with children;
- language, songs, stories, games or animated characters designed for children.
Content for teenagers or adults — including family vlogs aimed at parents or animation for adults — usually isn't made for kids.
2. Your obligation as a creator
Every upload asks whether the video is made for kids. You must answer accurately for each video, wherever you're based. We may change the designation if we find it incorrect, and repeated or deliberate mis-designation is a violation of our Terms.
3. What changes for videos made for kids
- Comments are turned off.
- The video displays a "Made for kids" label.
- The video can't be age-restricted and isn't shown next to age-restricted content in recommendations.
- We never use data from viewing made-for-kids content for advertising, because iCast doesn't run behavioural advertising.
4. Young users
You must be at least 14 to create an account. Signed-in users under 18 can't view age-restricted videos, and signed-out viewers never can. Restricted mode can be switched on in Settings → Privacy. We encourage parents and guardians to talk with teenagers about what they watch and share.
5. Child safety
Content that endangers, sexualises or exploits minors is strictly prohibited. We remove it, terminate the accounts responsible and report child sexual abuse material to the competent authorities, including the Italian Postal and Communications Police. If you see such content, report it immediately with the flag button, choosing "Child abuse or endangerment".
