Community Guidelines

Effective November 4, 2026 · Provided by Alessandro Mori and the Innovative Studios team

iCast is a place for long-form video made with care. These Community Guidelines apply to everything on iCast — videos, thumbnails, titles, descriptions, comments, links, channel pages and Audio Library tracks — and to everyone. They're part of our Terms of Service.

1. The long-form standard

  • Upload complete, original work: videos below the minimum length aren't accepted, and padding a short clip with filler, loops or static frames to reach it isn't allowed.
  • Don't re-upload other people's videos, compile them without transformation, or publish mass-produced, repetitive content.
  • Thumbnails, titles and descriptions must represent the video accurately. Misleading metadata and clickbait that doesn't match the content are removed.

2. Spam, deception and integrity

  • No spam, scams, phishing, pyramid schemes or links to malware.
  • No fake engagement: buying or trading views, likes, comments or subscribers, or using bots.
  • No impersonation of people, brands or organisations — including copying another channel's name, picture or the iCast verification badge.
  • Disclose paid promotions and realistic altered or synthetic content using the upload options.

3. Sensitive content

  • Child safety. We have zero tolerance for content that sexualises, endangers or exploits minors. We remove it, terminate the accounts involved and report child sexual abuse material to the competent authorities.
  • Nudity and sexual content. Pornography and sexually explicit content aren't allowed. Educational, documentary, scientific or artistic content with nudity may be age-restricted.
  • Suicide and self-harm. Content that promotes or instructs self-harm isn't allowed. Content that shares personal experiences or raises awareness in a supportive way is welcome.
  • Vulgar language. Heavy profanity in titles, thumbnails or content aimed at a broad audience may lead to age restriction.

4. Violent or dangerous content

  • Hate speech. No content that promotes violence or hatred against people based on protected characteristics such as ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or veteran status.
  • Harassment and bullying. No threats, doxxing, sustained insults, or content that encourages others to target someone.
  • Violent extremism. No content produced by or praising terrorist or violent extremist organisations.
  • Graphic violence. No gratuitously shocking or violent content. News, documentary and educational context may be allowed with age restriction.
  • Harmful or dangerous acts. No challenges, pranks or instructions likely to cause serious injury.

5. Regulated goods and illegal activities

No selling or facilitating the sale of firearms, explosives, drugs, counterfeit goods or other illegal goods and services; no unlicensed gambling; no instructions for committing crimes.

6. Misinformation

No content that contradicts health authorities in ways that may cause real-world harm, misleads people about how, when or where to vote, or uses manipulated media to deceive in ways that pose a serious risk of harm.

7. Copyright and privacy

Only upload content you created or have permission to use. See the Copyright & Takedown Policy. Don't share other people's personal information without consent, and respect requests to remove footage of identifiable private individuals.

8. Comments

Disagree with ideas, not people. Creators can hold comments for review, remove them, pin and heart them. Comments with many links are held automatically to fight spam.

9. Enforcement

When content breaks these Guidelines we remove or restrict it and send a statement of reasons. A first violation usually results in a warning. After that, each violation within 90 days is a strike: the first strike freezes uploads for 7 days, the second for 14 days, and a third strike within 90 days leads to channel termination. Severe abuse — such as child exploitation, terrorism or a channel dedicated to violating these Guidelines — leads to immediate termination. You can always appeal.

10. Reporting

Use the flag button on any video, comment or channel. Reports are confidential. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
